A boy holds up a google cardboard headset

DIY Virtual Reality

Sat 26 Mar, 12pm - 4pm. FULLY BOOKED
Come down to Phoenix and make your very own DIY Virtual Reality headset!

Using the popular Google Cardboard template, you can assemble your VR viewer out of ordinary card and special lenses. All you have to do then is add your iPhone or Android device to start exploring the amazing world of Virtual Reality.

We’ll also show you how to create your own mini virtual world by using your phone’s camera and free to download apps.

We’ll provide everything you need to make the headset except the smartphone.

You’ll need to have either an iPhone or Android running 4.1 or later, with a screen no larger than 5.5”. You can test whether your phone works in advance by downloading the Google Cardboard app – if you can’t find it or it won’t download your device might not be able to run it. Here’s a list of compatible phones.

If you don’t have a compatible phone you can still take part – just let us know before you arrive.

Suitable for ages 5+, parents must accompany children.

There are four timeslots available to book, either via the links above or by calling the box office on 0116 242 2800; the workshop will take about one hour.
