In this workshop you’ll learn how to make your own crazy musical instruments with Ototo. From electronic drum kits made out of saucepans to a coat stand that sings when you place something on its peg, the Ototo kit lets you make music with almost anything!

Ototo (which means ‘little brother’ in Japanese) was commissioned by Near Now and is made by design studio Dentaku.

Create wearable technology in this brilliant workshop from digital pioneers Codasign. Learn how to build basic hardware to make firefly badges, necklaces and headbands that light up when it’s dark! Combining craft with simple electronics, this workshop is a great introduction to using digital technologies to express your creativity.

Friday 30 May 10am – 3pm

Learn how to make your own stop motion animation in this hands-on workshop from Animation Nation. You come up with the ideas and produce a storyboard for your film, make characters and props from modelling clay then produce short animated films complete with titles, credits and music!
