Play, learn and create with amazing new technologies at this year’s Digital Playground. Phoenix will be overflowing with interactive art installations, free drop-in workshops and incredible short films from all over the world.

Don’t miss In the Eyes of the Animal by Marshmallow Laser Feast – a virtual reality experience which immerses you in the vibrant sensory world of woodland creatures. Flutter like a dragonfly, jump like a frog and see our landscape as you’ve never seen it before.

Suitable for ages 3-13. Part of the Spark Festival 2017 – the largest children’s arts festival in England & Wales, taking place every May & June in Leicester. The festival presents the very best theatre, dance, music, visual arts and digital media events for young people aged 0 – 13 years.

Melody Makers – Rhythms, rhymes, and sing-along-songs give a tuneful thread that runs throughout this selection of short films (Screen Room)

Creative Workshops

Real Life Gifs – Use simple animation techniques to make online Gifs come to life on paper (Sat)
Sonic Loops – Learn how to make electronic music by mixing your voice with simple digital instruments (Sun)
Tilt Brush – Make amazing drawings within a Virtual Reality world (Mon)
