How to Read a Film - Introduction to Film

This course is perfect for anyone that loves to talk film. You will be given a detailed introduction into the ‘grammar’ of film analysis, looking at the aspects of cinematography, editing, sound, and mise-en-scene. You will watch and examine various classic examples to see how the drama of film functions.

The course will also demonstrate the historical developments of various cinematic techniques from numerous traditions.
