open 7 days a week, 50 weeks of the year. It has a well deserved
national reputation for its adventurous and diverse programme,
frequently offering the only opportunity for audiences in the
east midlands to see international artists and performances.
Phoenix Arts also occupies a unique position within Leicester
and Leicestershire as the key exhibitor of independent cultural
cinema, video and related media arts.
Over 60,000 paying customers come through the doors of Phoenix
Arts each year with many more attending free events, like
our foyer music programme, the City Gallery ‘On Tour’ exhibitions
or using the café and bar. Although the majority live
in the City of Leicester, a substantial number travel from
Coventry, Derby, Nottingham, Northampton, Peterborough and
London. Year on year our audience is growing.
