It is with great regret that, due to the evolving situation around COVID-19 and the Government’s advice for people to avoid non-essential contact, we have taken the decision to close Phoenix to the public from tomorrow (Wednesday 18 March 2020).
Our priority is the health and safety of our staff and customers, and for this reason it is not viable for us to remain open to the public at this time.
We don’t know yet how long this closure will last, but we anticipate that it will be for at least a month.
The decision to close the venue and cancel all events has not been taken lightly, particularly as the financial implications on us as a charity are considerable.
We will try our very best to reschedule cancelled events wherever possible, and tickets already purchased will be valid for the new dates. Please be assured that options on refunds will be available and we will be contacting customers with existing bookings in due course. Please be patient as it may take us a little while to do this.
HOW YOU CAN HELP US
Our closure will have a huge impact on many people, but our priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone connected with Phoenix, and to safeguard Phoenix’s future beyond this crisis.
By not requesting a refund for any tickets that you have already booked you would be making a generous and much appreciated charitable donation to help sustain Phoenix and help us work towards reopening in the coming months.
And here are more ways that you can help…
While we’re closed, you can buy gift vouchers and membership by phone. Call Box Office on 0116 242 2800 (Mon – Fri).
