Yesterday’s government announcement of a new national lockdown, coupled with Leicester’s Tier 4 status, means that Phoenix will remain closed until further notice.
We will, of course, keep the situation under review in line with government advice. While we are closed we will continue to offer a curated programme via Phoenix at Home, and our online courses will continue as scheduled with sessions delivered via Zoom.
We are incredibly disappointed that our temporary closure has been extended again, but we remain positive about the future and we will reopen as soon as possible with an exciting programme of film, art, learning and creative opportunities for the people of Leicester and beyond.
These are challenging times for everyone, and we have been truly astounded by your incredible generosity throughout the pandemic. We want to thank each and every one of you who has made a donation, become a member, renewed an existing membership, purchased some gift vouchers, or bought a Phoenix hoodie, t-shirt or tote bag to in order to help us.
Regrettably our ongoing closure has significant financial implications, as we rely on being open to the public to generate income. We are immensely grateful for any support that you are able to offer at this time, and thank you for playing a vital part in securing Phoenix’s future for years to come.
We extend our best wishes to you all and look forward to when we are able to welcome you through our doors again.
