Join Phoenix and Two Queens on Saturday 22 February to find out more.
This month Leicester’s Phoenix and Two Queens galleries are bringing together local, national and international artists working across a wide range of media in two free events; a live performance and an exhibition of contemporary digital art.
MSHR is a collaborative project by Birch Cooper and Brenna Murphy who have performed at venues across the world including Tate Modern and Venice Biennale. They present an installation and improvised performances immersing the audience in light and sound created by handmade electronic instruments, constructing a truly psychedelic experience.
The live performance, produced by Phoenix and Two Queens takes place at 7pm on Saturday 22 February at Two Queens gallery (2 Queen Street, Leicester, LE1 1QW). Prior to this the pair will talk about their work at a free event at Phoenix on Friday 21 February at 6.30pm.
Site Exploration is an exhibition taking place at Phoenix’s Cube gallery exploring the way technology influences our perception of the natural world and helps us imagine environments that normally lie beyond our realm of experience.
Curated by Phoenix, the exhibition includes work by a range of national and international artists including Benedikt Groβ and Bertrand Clerc, Rob Smith and Charles Danby, Marina Zurkow, Semiconductor and Eric Rosoman. The show closes on 28th February.

Artists’ Profiles
Benedikt Groβ and Bertrand Clerc are German and French designers exploring how map making and new devices such as GPS routing and smartphones influence our perception of a city’s geography.
