Phoenix is excited to be joining forces with Vista, the region’s leading charity for people with sight loss, for a special film screening on Friday 27 May.
Members of the Vista Guide Dog Group will be enjoying an audio-described screening of The Lady in the Van in the company of their dogs in our Screen Room micro-cinema. Dog bowls will be provided and there will also be a lunch for the group in our Café Bar before the screening.
Assistance dogs are always welcome at Phoenix; we provide spaces for the comfort of owners and their dogs and a growing number are making use of our facilities. All Phoenix staff are access-trained and able to support customers with a wide range of access needs.
Our Access Cinema programme – launched in 2013 – brings people with differing access needs together to watch the best in world cinema and socialise with friends and family. We work with charities and organisations such as Vista, Action Deafness and the National Autistic Society to ensure we provide all our customers with the most enjoyable cinema experience possible.
Vista is Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland’s leading charity for people with sight loss. We support children and adults, providing rehabilitation, specialist services, equipment and tools, advice and guidance. For more information visit www.vistablind.org.uk
