Join us for a one day course examining the cinematic legacy of one of the world’s most popular characters. We’ll discuss and analyse Batman on screen, and consider why the character has remained so popular. From Adam West to Christian Bale, Tim Burton to Christopher Nolan, this course will look at the visual, thematic and narrative traits of Batman on screen, including a closer look at the villains of the films, and the directors who brought the Dark Knight to life. The day will conclude with a detailed look at one of the most influential film series of all time – Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy.
