Thanks to Lady Chatterley, the works of DH Lawrence have a somewhat racy reputation. But like the book themselves, the films have often been champions of changes in society. This four-week course delves into the history of Lawrence on screen, looking at adaptations of his novels; depictions of his life; the controversy surrounding his work; and its influence on cinema and society, particularly in the 60s.
