An introduction to the process of making a feature film – from initial idea, through the development, production and distribution phases to the delivery of the final product to an audience in a darkened cinema. You’ll cover a range of topics, including how the film business works, optioning a property, script development, attracting credible production and talented creative teams, legal matters and searching for finance. You’ll also look at casting, shooting and post-production; the sales and distribution process; plus pitfalls and how to prepare for them.
