Spirits, apparitions and spectres are often left to the imagination on screen, yet 2017 has seen David Lowery’s A Ghost Story turn this convention on its white-sheet-draped head.
Lecturer and author Laura Mee explores the eerie, macabre and sometimes comedic, dream-like imagery and themes associated with ghosts in the movies.
About the Tutor
Laura Mee is a former Associate Lecturer in Film Studies at De Montfort University, where she taught Cult Film, Adaptation and Hollywood cinema. Her interests include contemporary film history, horror and genre cinema, and adaptation.
