FREE School Screening: THE GREATEST SHOWMAN – Sing Along

DESCRIPTION

WHAT: De Montfort University, in association with Phoenix Cinema, presents a free school screening of the incredibly popular musical The Greatest Showman. This special event presents the sing-along version of the film, featuring lyrics to all the songs. Alongside Phoenix staff, film students from DMU will be coordinating and delivering this event as part of their annual film festival.

WHEN: Thursday 28th March, 10am – 1pm. Please arrive at 10am, and the film will start promptly at 10.30am.

WHERE: Phoenix Leicester, 4 Midland Street, Leicester, LE1 1TG.
There is limited parking at the venue, so drop offs would be more appropriate.

FILM SYNOPSIS: Wishing nothing more than to bring magic into the life of his family, P.T. Barnum (Hugh Jackman) sets out to start a circus with a colourful crew of freaks, misfits and outsiders. Facing the disapproval of those who believe them different, they must learn to rise up and realise that what makes them different is what makes them special. Sing along in their magical journey full of heart and wonder.

DETAILS: The film will be introduced by a ringmaster – one of the event organisers – who will encourage singing along to the musical numbers. Free activity packs will be provided to all pupils, alongside special circus tickets to commemorate the event. Free tea and coffee will be provided to all attending school staff.
