“The Action Homeless Food Stop provides emergency food to people and families in crisis. Since the donation screening last year, demand for our support has increased by 30% which sadly means we need your support more than ever. Based in the heart of Leicester city centre, our Food Stop is open five days per week and is staffed by an amazing team of volunteers. We help people who, without our support, would go hungry. Your donations will mean that our shelves can remain fully stocked throughout the Christmas period and beyond.
The Food Stop supported 3667 people last year, including 907 children whose families were struggling to put food on the table. We needed 150 tonnes of food to meet the needs of local people in crisis – that equates to more than 4000 shopping trolleys full. Without our generous donors, none of this would have been possible. Please help us to be there for the people that need us during the festive period.”
