Shape of Sounds

Thu 26 Jul, 12pm – 3pm
In this workshop we’ll be drawing shapes and connecting them up to a computer to make sounds that match the shape of your drawings when you touch them

Did you know that all sounds have a shape? Some are flat, some are spiky and some are squiggly.

In this free, drop-in workshop you’ll be drawing shapes and connecting them up to a computer to make sounds that match your drawings when you touch them.

We’ll be using the Ototo to connect the drawings up to the computer to see their shapes. These clever devices can make sounds when anything made of ‘conductive’ materials is attached, so we’ll be making the drawings out of conductive materials like tin foil and special paints.

Free, drop-in. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Best for ages 4 – 10.
