ICONS – Glenda Jackson

Screening this August

This month, our ICONS strand pays tribute to Glenda Jackson CBE – Oscar and BAFTA-winning actor, activist and former Labour MP, whose death at the age of 87 was announced in June.

Born in Birkenhead to working class parents, Jackson won a place at RADA and went on to become one of Britain’s most revered stage and screen actors, winning numerous awards over her distinguished career.
