All is True 12A

Fri 15 – Thu 28 Feb

Synopsis

★★★★ – Guardian ★★★★ – Times

The 7.45pm screening on Thu 21 Feb will be introduced by Shakespeare expert and DMU lecturer Anna Blackwell.

A super-cast to end all casts comes together in this new Shakespearian biopic, written by Ben Elton (Upstart Crow), with Branagh, Dench and McKellen converging in what will surely be one of the biggest films of the year.

The year is 1613 and Shakespeare is acknowledged as the greatest writer of the age. But disaster strikes when his Globe Theatre burns to the ground. Devastated, Shakespeare returns to Stratford, where he must face a troubled past and a neglected family.

Dir: Kenneth Branagh
