Hunt for the Wilderpeople 12A

Sun 24 Mar, 12pm

Synopsis

"★★★★★ – A bit Up, a bit Moonrise Kingdom, a bit Midnight Run, even… Taika Waititi’s latest is an oddball treat" – Empire

★★★★ – Independent

A national manhunt is ordered for a rebellious child and his foster uncle as they flee together into the New Zealand bush. By turns funny and touching, Hunt for the Wilderpeople is Maori director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) at the top of his game, and young Julian Dennison is a revelation as wild-child Ricky Baker.

For this one-off screening we’ll be transforming the Café Bar and offering Ricky Baker birthday cupcakes.

This event is part of our Lazy Sunday offer, where you can enjoy the film, a breakfast of your choice and a drink for £13.95 / £12.40 concessions. Lazy Sunday tickets must be booked in advance at Box Office, either by phone (0116 242 2800) or in person.

You can also see the film without taking part in the Lazy Sunday offer, for normal ticket prices (£9.20 / £7.50 conc / £6 U25s & families).

This screening is taking place in conjunction with the 'Are We There Yet?' film festival, celebrating journeys in cinema, organised by Film Studies students from De Montfort University.
