Screening in partnership with De Montfort University for Black History Month.

Set in inner-city Baltimore, this uplifting, crowd-pleasing documentary follows the fortunes of a girl’s high school step dance team. With many of the girls to become the first in their families to go to college, they struggle to balance their work and dancing, all against the background of a troubled city simmering with social unrest.

Following the screening Derrick Mensah - Vice President of Student Activities at DMU, will introduce members of the DMU Steppers (the UK’s Number 1 University Step Team) to talk about their experiences with dance and follow with a live performance!

Courtesy of De Montfort University, every ticket comes with a free drink from our café bar. Simply present your ticket at the bar to claim a glass of house wine, a pint of any draught beer or soft drink, or any hot beverage.
