The Man Who Invented Christmas PG

Fri 8 – Thu 14 Dec

October 1843 and Charles Dickens (Stevens) is struggling with his new novel. Frustrated by writer’s block, trying to ignore the failure of his last three books and rejected by his publishers, Dickens decides to do it himself: he’ll write and self-publish his next book in just 6 weeks!

Using people from his life to fire his imagination we watch as he shapes the classic characters of Ebeneezer Scrooge (Plummer) Tiny Tim and others, but as his magical creations come to life - who is really in control of the story? And will A Christmas Carol ever get finished?

Based on Les Standiford’s book of the same name, The Man Who Invented Christmas is a charming and feel-good festive treat.
