The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Miss Osbourne 18

Fri 23 Feb, 8.45pm

The Social Cinema continue their curation of Cinema Bizarre with Walerian Borowczyk’s kinky, bloody and nightmarish gothic horror, a variation on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Attended by a host of dignitaries and other highly respectable people, the engagement party for brilliant young Dr Henry Jekyll to Miss Fanny Osborne is disrupted by the murder of one of the guests. It becomes clear that a crazed sexual predator is stalking the party, someone who Dr Jekyll might know quite well…

Dir: Walerian Borowczyk

Cast: Udo Kier, Marina Pierro, Patrick Magee

France / West Germany 1981, 90mins
