Nicholas Hoult stars in Dome Karukoski's compelling biopic exploring the early years of the Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien.

Orphaned as a boy, Tolkien became a keen scholar and linguist whose life was shaped by the friendship, love, and artistic inspiration he found amongst his academic peers. But the outbreak of World War I threatened to tear the fabric of his life apart.

This epic story of love, loss, and fellowship offers insight into the man who imagined Middle-earth.
