Vita & Virginia 12A

Fri 19 – Thu 25 Jul

Synopsis

Set in the bohemian high society of 1920s England, Vita & Virginia tells the scintillating true story of Virginia Woolf’s tempestuous relationship with the aristocratic, rebellious Vita Sackville-West.

Though both women were married, they plunged into a passionate affair that would change their lives and inspire the writing of one of Woolf’s most famous novels – Orlando.

Vividly exploring the brilliant, troubled mind of one of history’s most enduring literary figures, this period drama feels refreshingly modern. Elizabeth Debicki is riveting as an anxious, restless Virginia Woolf in this seductive adaptation of Eileen Atkins’ 1992 play.
