Through all the important work in the modern age to aid and support diversity in cinema, it can be too easily forgotten that queer filmmakers, actors, writers, producers, and their films have made their mark – on the industry and history – since the day cinema was born.
Whether outright cries from the heart or coded messages from the enforced margins, LGBTQ+ cinema is a vital part of the cinema experience.
Join us as we explore the history of queer cinema, its importance and its diversity, from the beginnings of the industry through to the current day.
