Mind-set + Q&A 18

Wed 22 Jun, 8pm

"Mikey Murray's comedy/drama reflects on isolation and post-Brexit life in England; a country that seems infatuated with distancing itself from its friends and neighbours" – Manchester Film Festival

Lucy is almost fatalistically committed to Paul, a writer most often found in his dressing gown lounging around the house as she goes out to her office job. There she finds a taste of the excitement she longs for, innocent squash matches with new colleague Daniel, which of course wind their way in to a less than discreet affair. Despite receiving the attention and affection she craves, the distraction is not enough to draw her away from the dysfunction at home.

This screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Mikey Murray, hosted by Ben Reynolds of MACE (The Media Archive for Central England).
