Afrooz is the captain of the international women’s Futsal National Team. After eleven years of hard work, her dream is finally about to become a reality as she will be leading her team in the Women’s Asian Cup Finals in Malaysia.


In Iran, however, a husband has the legal right to ban his wife from travelling abroad and as Afrooz goes through security at Tehran airport, she discovers that her husband, a famous television host, has banned her from exiting the country. Supported by a close friend and teammate, her only option is to persuade her estranged husband to reconsider and allow her to travel to the competition.


Based on real events, Permission is the story of a strong woman who keeps on battling, hoping one day to change the laws on gender equality in her country.
