Phoenix Film Camp 7-11
Mon 25 – Fri 29 Jul, 9.30am – 3.30pm
Make a short film in 5 days at our annual summer holiday Film Camp for children aged 7-11. Enter the room on Monday with just an idea or two, and leave on Friday with a film in the can that you shot and starred in.
Starting on Monday we’ll write a story for a film we can produce in a week. Tuesday will be rehearsing and assigning roles, from actors to camera and sound operators.
Then from Wednesday to Friday it’s lights, camera, action as we go out on set to make our film a reality.
The film will then be edited by the course tutor ready for its ‘premiere’ screening in the autumn.
Designed with different learning styles in mind, Film Camp covers all the key elements of filmmaking and production, including scriptwriting, shooting, direction and editing.
All equipment and training will be provided by our expert tutor Keith Allott.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the building work at Phoenix, this year the Film Camp will be based at LCB Depot. This is a creative workspace located very close to Phoenix, at 31 Rutland Street, LE1 1RE.
Lunch is not provided, so please bring your own; alternatively there is also a café at LCB Depot.
