Saturday begins with Tell Me Tonight (Litvak, UK/Germany 1933) an engaging musical comedy set in Switzerland starts the day, followed by The Runaway Princess (Asquith, UK/Ger, 1928). Neil Brand (BBC's The Sound of Cinema) and Laurel and Hardy will then be entertaining everyone at the New Walk Museum and Art Gallery at lunchtime.


After lunch we return to Phoenix for the Boer War on film, followed by Peace on the Western Front; presented by the Imperial War Museum. Two comedy classics Toni and The Midnight Girl will offer afternoon entertainment before the UK premiere of The Phantom of the Moulin Rouge/Le Fantome du Moulin Rouge (pictured); Rene Clair’s first feature film. Victor Saville’s Tesha then rounds off the evening, starring the wonderful Maria Corda. For further details see below:
