Shiraz: A Romance of India

The BFI National Archive team have outdone themselves with their glorious restoration of Shiraz, the sumptuous silent retelling of the story of the 17th century princess who inspired construction of the Taj Mahal.

Shiraz is a potter's son, brought up as a brother to Selima. When Selima is kidnapped by and sold as a slave to Prince Khurram, Shiraz follows her, risking a horrible death to protect her and one day design her great memorial.
