A secret early sound film will delight audiences followed by a wonderful programme of European travelogues.
After lunch there will be an illustrated exploration of the Leicester Film Society in the 1930s, followed by films and a talk on Weimar cinema.
The final event of the day takes place at the New Walk Museum and Art Gallery with a programme of Victorian short films, restored from their original large-format to IMAX quality and presented by Bryony Dixon, Curator of silent cinema at the BFI National Archive. See below for further details:
