Filmmaker Jane Campion (The Piano, Top of the Lake) returns with her first feature film since 2009’s Bright Star. A stunning western drama which screened to great acclaim at the London Film Festival and Venice - where it won the Silver Lion for Best Direction.

Based on Thomas Savage’s novel by the same name, The Power of the Dog is set in 1925, on the Burbank brothers’ ranch in Montana. Phil Burbank (Cumberbatch) is a charismatic and feared rancher, and when his brother George marries a widow (Dunst), Phil sets out to destroy them - giving full reign to his brutal and cruel nature.

Committed performances from Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Slow West) bring Campion’s captivating vision to life.

Dir: Jane Campion
