A moving drama of romance and revenge set among a travelling circus troupe playing to sleepy villages in the beautiful Italian Tyrol.

When the handsome and conceited Alcide becomes disfigured following a fire, he’s presented with a set of puppets and told to resign himself to becoming the eponymous ‘Puppet Man’ and to hide his disfigurement. But Alcide plots against the talented young acrobat Bobbie who he blames for the fire and uses Bobbie’s love for fellow circus performer Jenny as a means to seek revenge.
