The Silence of the Lambs: 30th Anniversary 15

Fri 15 – Sun 17 Oct

"★★★★★ – psycho-killer Hannibal still chills" – Guardian

The ultimate chiller thriller is back on the big screen for its 30th anniversary.

Starring Jodie Foster as daring young FBI cadet Clarice Starling and Anthony Hopkins in his most iconic role as the depraved Dr Hannibal Lecter, The Silence of the Lambs is a terrifying masterpiece of suspense.

One of the top students at the FBI’s training academy, Clarice Starling is recruited to a special assignment by agent Jack Crawford. Desperate for a clue to help catch the serial killer Buffalo Bill, Crawford enlists Clarice to interview Dr Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant but deranged psychiatrist who is serving life in prison for murder and cannibalism. Lecter’s insight may be the key to cracking the case, but it comes at a price.

Winner of “The Big Five” at the 1992 Academy Awards, The Silence of the Lambs is one of the best films of the ‘90s. At its heart is an intriguing, twisted relationship, brilliantly brought to life by Foster and Hopkins, whose chilling Hannibal “The Cannibal” Lecter remains one of cinema’s greatest boogeymen.
