Phoenix is looking for enthusiastic people to join our team as Casual Café Bar & Kitchen Assistants.
Our café bar serves freshly prepared food from our in-house chefs, barista-style coffee and a great drinks menu. We also run The Nest, our rooftop terrace bar, and provide hospitality for events, screenings and conferences.
It’s an exciting time to join us as we continue to develop our food and drink offer at one of Leicester’s most popular cultural venues.
About the Role:
You’ll help make every visit welcoming by providing friendly service and supporting both our front-of-house and kitchen teams. You’ll serve food and drinks, help keep our spaces clean and safe, and support the smooth running of the café bar and kitchen.
You’ll also help with pot washing, cleaning equipment and keeping food preparation areas hygienic.
Key responsibilities will include:

Serving customers in a friendly, professional manner

Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks

Supporting the kitchen team with pot washing and general cleaning

Clearing tables and keeping the café, bar and kitchen clean and tidy

Following good hygiene, health and safety practices

Being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Phoenix’s products and services
We’re looking for people with a positive, flexible attitude who are comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Hospitality or kitchen experience is helpful, but not essential; full training will be provided.
This is a casual, zero-hours role. We’re looking for people with good availability from Thursday to Monday, including both daytime and evening shifts.
