PLATFORM

PLATFORM is a new programme for filmmakers and digital visual artists in Leicester, offering a space to meet, learn, and collaborate. Whether you’re just starting out or have been working in the field for a while, this is an opportunity to connect with peers and hear from people working in film, TV, and digital art.

Led by Phoenix, in partnership with Shy Films and Badshoes Film, PLATFORM runs twice-monthly events featuring talks from industry professionals and opportunities for informal networking. It’s a space to exchange ideas, get practical advice, and meet others who share an interest in creative work.

There will also be a focus on business development with tailored support for a cohort of participants who are looking to launch a creative business, be that a company or as a sole trader. Applications for Platform business development will open later this year.

The project aims to grow and collaborate with both existing and future networks. We want to be part of a diverse and vibrant community of creatives, contributing to a thriving creative landscape for the city.
