Our Funders

Phoenix receives regular funding from the Arts council England under the National Portfolio programme. 

Leicester City Council is a founding stakeholder of Phoenix and continues to support the organisation’s contribution to the city.

DMU is a founding funder of Phoenix. The two organisations continue to work closely together on research and academic programmes and to support city’s offer.

Awarding funds from the National Lottery, the BFI supports Phoenix so that we can expand the reach, depth and breadth of people’s experiences of British and independent films.

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) supported our REAL Initiative project, which provided dedicated facilities, business support and mentoring to individuals and micro-businesses in the creative and digital industries in Leicester and Leicestershire.

Phoenix is pleased to work with the Independent Cinema Office in support of our programming, film selection and marketing. ICO is a charity that aims to bring a wider range of films to a wider range of people, so people can access amazing film culture wherever they are in the UK.
