Duncan Campbell - Falls Burns Malone Fiddles

Duncan Campbell – Falls Burns Malone Fiddles

Wed 25 May, 6.30pm

The second in our regular Artists’ Film screenings in partnership with the ICA comes from Turner Prize winning artist Duncan Campbell.  Campbell’s early work Falls Burns Malone Fiddles (2004) is presented alongside the short abstract work Oh Joan, No (2006).

Campbell takes the Belfast Community Photographic Archives as his main source for this documentary-like work, which explores the gaps between fact and fiction.

Duncan Campbell (b. 1971, Dublin, Ireland) lives and works in Glasgow. His recent solo exhibitions include Duncan Campbell, IMMA, Dublin (2014); Generation, The Common Guild, Glasgow; and Duncan Campbell; Bernadette, G.MK gallery, Zagreb (all 2014).

This screening is presented in collaboration with the ICA, as part of the Artist Moving Image Network, funded by Arts Council England.
