Our second double bill of Christmas Ghost stories from the BBC archive!

In A Warning to the Curious an amateur archeologist searches for the lost crown of Anglia, but underestimates the punishment that awaits those who disturb the crown's resting place. We finish with the classic 1976 episode of The Signalman, in which a railway worked is troubled by a spectre that seems to predict calamity.

Ghost Stories for Christmas

An annual tradition in the 1970s, the BBC's A Ghost Story for Christmas was a yuletide staple that has seen a resurgence in recent years. In December we present three tales from the original 8-episode run, plus the influential original adaptation of M. R. James Oh, Whistle and I'll Come to You, My Lad which aired as part of the Omnibus series in 1968.
