“★★★★ – dazzlingly inventive drama” – Guardian

This screening is presented by Apittame Arts, and will feature a discussion with Carol Leeming MBE FRSA – polymath multi-disciplinary artist in literature, performing arts Director of Dare to Diva company, based in Leicester.

In the hills of Burundi, a group of escaped coltan miners set up an anti-colonial hacker collective, creating a camp from discarded technology as they plan to act against the oppresive regime that is exploiting their people and their natural resources.

Otherworldly and utterly original, this sci-fi Afrofuturist musical – created and co-directed by US musician Saul Williams and his Rwandan wife Anisia Uzeyman – is a transformative mix of romance and revolution.
