Having premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest, this insightful, hilarious and compelling documentary follows Otto Baxter, a 35-year-old filmmaker with Down Syndrome, as he writes and directs his first short film, The Puppet Asylum.
Spanning six years, the film tells Otto’s story as he explores his experiences – including a bereavement that makes him confront his own mortality – and faces his demons in his work with visionary creative spirit and an unbridled sense of humour.
