Sous Chef

We are seeking to employ an individual for the post of Sous Chef.

Phoenix is Leicester’s centre for independent cinema, art and digital culture. We provide a programme of world cinema, digital arts, courses and community events in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.

This is an extremely exciting time to be joining us as we are now operating from our brand new spaces. Our new café bar has over 150 covers and a fantastic new state of the art kitchen. We offer our menu of freshly prepared dishes between 11:00 and 21:00, 7 days a week. We will also be introducing a food service to our rooftop terrace in the spring, which has space for up to 100 covers and its own bar. Alongside our café bar and rooftop terrace we also offer a hospitality service for events and conferences.

As sous chef you are responsible for ensuring professional standards whilst on shift in the delivery of:

– An excellent food offer for our café bar, rooftop terrace and events.
– A safe, clean and hygienic working environment
– Maintaining a strong, communicative relationship with the kitchen and café bar teams
– Ensuring full compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
– Adhering to all company health and safety procedures and policies

Sous Chef:

• Wage: £26,630
• Hours: Full time position, 42 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holiday working)
