Meet our new Digital Arts Manager

We welcome Irina Tsokova to Phoenix as our new Digital Arts Manager. She’s joined our team in the exciting run up to the launch of our expanded venue and new art gallery in January 2023.

Irina specialises in digital and physical exhibitions and managing projects that enable diverse communities to share stories about their cultural heritage. Working on community projects and educating the public on the diverse cultural heritage stories in Leicester has been her mission throughout her education and experience.

A visitor to the Phoenix art programme since 2017 when she moved to Leicester to complete her BA in Interior Architecture for Museum Environments, Irina went on to achieve a Masters in Creative Technologies at De Montfort University, where she focused on interactive displays for museums.

Irina has published papers on immersive and augmented reality applications in the field of heritage storytelling and is a Member of the Europeana network for digital cultural heritage. She speaks 5 languages and was a silver medallist in the Bulgarian Yoga Nationals 2021.
