Phoenix seeks new chair and several trustees
Phoenix cinema and art centre in Leicester is recruiting for a new chair and several trustees to join its board of 12 trustees.
One of the city’s most popular cultural venues, Phoenix has exciting plans to expand and become a four screen cinema by the year 2020. It has recently receiving planning permission and confirmation that Arts Council England will invest £4 million into the project.
Sir Alan Tuckett OBE, the charity’s existing chair, is stepping down at the end of his second term of office after steering the charity to this point. Phoenix has also identified a need for 2-3 new trustee appointments to ensure it has the right balance of skills to further its strategic aims.
“We have more than doubled the number of visitors to Phoenix over the last ten years, and we have ambitious plans to do the same again within the next five,” said John Rance, Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix.
“We are looking for strategic thinkers who have the confidence, integrity and credibility to interact with people at senior leadership levels.”
