Inspired by renowned ecologist Garett Harding’s essay “Lifeboat Ethics: the Case Against Helping the Poor”, Playing God is an interactive VR thought experiment. By setting it aboard a fictional spaceship, the piece aims to allow the user to make decisions and see the consequences play out.

Created here at Phoenix by Interact Labs member Ben Fredericks, this preview is an opportunity to see the work and discuss it with the team who helped to make it.

Ben will also lead a discussion with the actors and producers of the piece at a free talk on Fri 21 June at 7.30pm.
