Devdas Sari Workshop

Join us for a free drop-in sari workshop with Indian textile enthusiast, Pritha Dasmahaptra, ahead of our 7.15pm screening of Devdas, as part of our Filmwallahs season.

Pritha will be giving demonstrations on how to wear a sari, providing detail on sari styles and the history of the Bengali sari.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

An avid traveller and an Indian textiles enthusiast, Pritha is a content creator focusing on the history and heritage of Indian textiles. She has been on several craft-based trails across the country, meeting artisans and documenting their crafts. She designs her own itineraries and has successfully managed to spark an interest in hyperlocal tours among her followers. She has been featured in prominent publications like Outlook Traveller, Travel and Leisure and Vogue India. Pritha grew up in Kolkata and works as a gynaecologist in London.
