PLATFORM is a programme for filmmakers and digital artists interested in moving image in Leicester, offering a space to meet, learn, and collaborate. Whether you’re just starting out or have been working in the field for a while, this is an opportunity to connect with peers and hear from people working in film, TV, and artist moving image.

Led by Phoenix in partnership with Liminal Screens and Badshoes Film, PLATFORM runs regular events featuring guest speakers from film, television, and the digital arts. These sessions offer practical insight alongside informal networking, helping you strengthen your skills, find collaborators, and feel part of a growing creative network.

We are committed to working with both established and emerging communities to support a diverse and thriving creative culture in the city.

Short PLATFORM

We held our first Short Platform event recently, screening short films or moving image work (up to 10 minutes) by filmmakers and artists based in the East Midlands which was selected from an open call. The next Short Platform event will be in September, so look out for details of the open call in the coming weeks.
