In a New York County Courthouse, a 12 man jury are instructed to return a unanimous decision of guilty or not guilty in the trial of a young man accused of murder.

Confined to one room for their deliberations, after an initial ballot Juror 8 (Fonda) is the only one to vote not-guilty. As the heat and tempers rise, Juror 8 tries to persuade the men there is reasonable doubt of the boy’s guilt, and each juror must confront their own morals and prejudices.

Screening as part of Sidney Lumet Centenary, a season of films by one of the most prominent directors of the New Hollywood movement to mark 100 years since his birth.
