Wowing the critics everywhere it has played and building a legion of supporters, Charlotte Wells' debut feature is a strikingly confident, deeply moving film about parents, children and memory.
Reminiscing about a package holiday that she took with her dad Calum (Mescal, Normal People) in the 1990s, Sophie tries to reconcile the father she knew with the man she didn’t. Mescal and Corio’s rapport is believable and natural, their performances subtle and affecting; and the film is a spellbinding triumph.
To celebrate Aftersun's spectacular awards nominations, all shows this week will include an exclusive recorded Q&A with BAFTA nominated writer-director Charlotte Wells, Frankie Corio and Academy Award nominee Paul Mescal, only available in cinemas.
