"★★★★ – enough to get you out on the doorstep to bang for Bennett, saucepan and wooden spoon in hand" – Daily Telegraph

A plethora of British talent is on display in Richard Eyre’s adaptation of Alan Bennett’s 2018 play.

When a small Yorkshire NHS hospital offering geriatric care is threatened with closure, there is outcry from the local community, especially when former local boy (now cynical government employee) Colin (Russell Tovey) is sent to evaluate it.

Full of Bennett’s warmth and wry humour, Allelujah! also has a sting in its tail, offering a stark and timely reminder of the importance of the NHS.
